Jack Daniels Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie

Pretty darn sweet but one good pie. I'll be making at least one this holiday season. Obviously whipped cream would finish this one off.

Ingredients;
3 eggs, lightly beaten
1 cup granulated sugar
2 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted
1 cup dark corn syrup
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/4 cup whiskey
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup whole pecans
1 (10-inch) unbaked pie pastry

Directions:
1.  Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2.  In a medium bowl beat the eggs with the sugar, butter, corn syrup, vanilla and whiskey. Strain out any lumps that remain.
3.  Line the bottom of the pie shell with chocolate chips. Spread the pecans over that (or stir them into the egg mixture, whatever you prefer) and pour filling over.
4. Bake 35-40 minutes or until a knife inserted comes out clean
